| Michael Moore is an egotistical asshole
who hates Americans and doesn't want to upset the delicate sensibilities
of Hezbollah, a terrorist organization.
He also happens to frequently lie in his "documentaries." Don't believe me? Read below. Sunday, July 4th, 2004. By Scott Wells |

Well, first off, the Hezbollah connection. Read this. "Meanwhile, in the United Arab Emirates, the film is being offered the kind of support it doesn't need. According to Screen International, the UAE-based distributor Front Row Entertainment has been contacted by organizations related to the Hezbollah in Lebanon with offers of help." 1 And the response from Mr. Moore's PR people? Absolutely priceless - and disgusting. "...In terms of marketing the film, Front Row is getting a boost from organizations related to Hezbollah which have rung up from Lebanon to ask if there is anything they can do to support the film. And although Chacra says he and his company feel strongly that Fahrenheit is not anti-American, but anti-Bush, “we can’t go against these organizations as they could strongly boycott the film in Lebanon and Syria." 2 So let me get this straight - Michael Moore is accepting help in marketing his film from a terrorist organization that has stated repeatedly they want America destroyed because he's afraid his movie would be boycotted in countries that hate America? WHAT THE FUCK?!? And to show you that despite his comments about hating only Bush and not America, here's some comments made by Mr. Moore about his fellow Americans- in Germany no less. "(Americans) are possibly the dumbest people on the planet ... in thrall to conniving, thieving, smug pricks. We Americans suffer from an enforced ignorance. We don’t know about anything that’s happening outside our country. Our stupidity is embarrassing.” 3 Anyone see a reference to Bush? Nope. Instead, he labels all Americans as stupid. Why? Could it be because so many Americans see through his utter and total bullshit? That's my bet. And another quote by Michael Moore, about the passengers in the hijacked planes on September 11th - stating they were "The kind of people who fly in airplanes want someone else to clean up their mess; that’s why they let hijackers take the plane. “The passengers on September 11 were scaredy-cats, because they were mostly white.” 4 Way to go, asshole. Slander the dead. I'd tell you to go fuck yourself, but since you're in love with yourself, you'd enjoy it too much. Now, onto the lies Mr. Moore perpetuates in this film - firstly, that Bush rushed prominent Saudi Officials (including members of the Bin Laden family) out of the country before the ban on commercial air traffic was lifted, and that nobody interviewed said Saudi's before they left. But the 9-11 Commission Report states otherwise: "The report confirms that six chartered airplanes flew 142 mostly Saudi nationals out of the country, including one carrying members of the bin Laden family. But the flights didn't begin until Sept. 14—after airspace reopened. Moreover, the report states the Saudi flights were screened by the FBI, and 22 of the 26 people on the bin Laden flight were interviewed. None had any links to terrorism." 5 The truth is, Richard Clarke, a holdover from
the Clinton administration, cleared the flights in conjunction with
the FBI. Not Bush, or his cabinet - Clarke. He has stated that
he did it. And the FBI knew who was on the flights - FBI spokeswoman
Donna Spiser said, “We did know who was on the flights and interviewed
anyone we thought we needed to,” she said. “We didn’t interview 100
percent of the [passengers on the] flight. We didn’t think anyone on the
flight was of investigative interest.” 6 Mr. Moore also shows footage of the President reading to a room full of second graders on the 11th. When he is informed of the attacks, the President stays in the classroom for another seven minutes. Clearly, the footage is included in the movie to make Bush look like an imbecilic, incompetent, indecisive idiot (I'll agree he's an idiot). But what would Mr. Moore have the President do? Jump up and yell, "Sorry, kids, but people are flying planes into buildings so I've got to run?" or do what he thought was best (and was) - "The president felt he should project strength and calm until he could better understand what was happening." 5 Perhaps Mr. Moore would have preferred a classroom full of frightened school children, crying en masse. It would have made better drama for his movie, that's no doubt! Moore also routinely states that our number one goal should be to find and kill Bin Laden, that the war in Iraq is only a distraction from other issues, and that we aren't pursuing Bin Laden ardently enough. He also, rather weekly, tries to paint a picture of strong ties between the Bush family and the Bin Ladens through the Carlyle Group - which Bush the First was a senior consultant to while the Bin Laden family (not Osama, though, since his family disowned him decades ago) had money invested in the company. He also shows footage of members of the Taliban visiting Houston while Bush the Lesser was Governor, with the obvious insinuation that he invited them. WRONG. The Taliban officials were visiting with Unocal, a California-based energy group. And it was President Clinton's state department who green-lit the meeting and allowed members of a hostile foreign regime to step foot on American soil. Of course, Mr. Moore doesn't tell you that - why does the truth matter? And regarding Moore's outrage that we aren't pursuing Bin Laden hard enough, consider this tidbit - written by a moderate liberal. "In late 2002, almost a year after the al-Qaida assault on American society, I had an onstage debate with Michael Moore at the Telluride Film Festival. In the course of this exchange, he stated his view that Osama Bin Laden should be considered innocent until proven guilty. This was, he said, the American way. The intervention in Afghanistan, he maintained, had been at least to that extent unjustified." 7 So...why the change of heart, Michael? Perhaps you'd like to explain to us "stupid" American's why you use an argument against the war in Iraq that contradicts an earlier statement of yours. Then again, probably not. You've never been big on truth. Now, to be fair, Moore at least hasn't claimed that Fahrenheit 911 is a documentary - unlike his last movie, Bowling for Columbine. Of course, that movie was full of distortions as well, which we'll examine below. First off, in Bowling for Columbine, Moore claims he is a "lifetime member of the NRA." Well, the fact of the matter is, he purchased a lifetime membership just before making his movie. While not technically a lie, it is a pretty damn big distortion, since he wants the viewer to assume he's always been a member. He also shows footage of a rocket in a Lockheed-Martin plant in Colorado, while narrating that Lockheed-Martin is a huge contractor to the defense department. Which is true. The problem is, the plant he showed us in Colorado doesn't make weapons - the rocket shown is used to launch communications satellites. It is not a weapon. Yet he clearly wants us to believe it is. Yet another huge distortion by the truth-worshipping Michael Moore. He also then uses crafty editing to make it appear that Heston gave his "Cold, dead hands!" line at the NRA rally in Denver. Well, Heston gave a speech using that line a year after the NRA convention in Denver. Not in Denver. But Mr. Moore would make it appear that the words were uttered mere days after the Columbine shootings. Moore also fails to mention that all seminars, workshops, luncheons, exhibits by gun makers and other vendors, and festivities were canceled, or that BY LAW, the NRA has to hold an annual meeting. And also, by law, had to give ten days notice for a change of venue . He also heavily edited the speech given by Heston, completely changing the tone of what was said. 10 He also states that just days after a shooting incident at a school in Michigan, Heston showed up for another "big pro-gun rally." Except it was a Get out the Vote Rally, and it was eight months after the shooting. Moore's statements in his "documentary" is a BOLD FACED LIE. There are other, well, discrepancies or truth-stretching scenes as well - visit http://www.bowlingfortruth.com for more - but the worst thing about this movie is how Moore blatantly used two victims from the shooting to further his agenda. 8 I'm talking about the two teenagers, Mark Taylor and Richard Castaldo, whom he took to K-Mart's offices. Both say that Moore was not upfront about his reasons for the visit. Moore also invited parents of all the victims to a premiere of the film - but only if they bought tickets. Said one angry mother, Ann M. Kechter, "It's laughable that Moore attempts to portray himself as an anti-establishment liberal who is the voice of the common folk, when in fact he is no better than the greedy capitalists he shuns. Maybe now that he has made millions of dollars off the blood of our children he could toss a DVD or two our way to view." 8 What kind of a money-grubbing asshole would make the parents of a shooting victim pay money to view a movie that is supposed to support them? Again, what an asshole. I'm sorry this wasn't funnier. I just find it hard to find anything funny about a filthy rich asshole that panders propaganda - as documentaries - to the people he despises (the poor and middle class). I find nothing funny about a narcissistic prick who touts the first amendment for his own gain, but would deny it to those who disagree with him. I find nothing funny about a man who "wants to promote free thought and ideas" but ridicules anyone who doesn't fall in line with his reasoning. And what I don't get - what I really don't get - is that there is ample reason to suspect our involvement in Iraq (in case you're wondering, I am pro-war. The fact that Russian Intelligence told us Iraq was in the planning stages of attacks on US soil and on US targets abroad sealed the deal for me). There is ample reason to distrust Bush - the Patriot Act chief among them. And there is ample reason to question our culture of guns. But a man who had a chance to use FACTS and REASON to make his points instead chooses to use lies, deception, and partisan, propagandistic venom. A man who could use his influence to make the world a better place, a man with the resources to help so many, instead chooses to stroke his own ego time and again, and belittle the people he could be helping. It's inexcusable. It's deplored. It's Michael Moore's modus operandi. I hope I've proved my point about not believing a word out of this bloated assholes mouth. But in case you're still not convinced, here's an interesting news piece that shed's a little light on his paranoia. Or maybe he's not paranoid - maybe like many members of the extreme left (which he's part of) or the extreme right (like Buchanan, Fallwell, etc.) he simply doesn't think that the first amendment applies to those who would dare disagree with him. By the way, everyone should read "Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid White Man" to learn more about this piece of pig shit. And then watch the movie "Michael Moore Hates America" when it's released. Unless he sues to stop it's distribution. Which, reading his threats, he just might do. And lastly, as a parting shot, Michael Moore's views on small business owners: "Fuck all these small businesses - fuck 'em all! Bring in the chains. The small businesspeople are the rednecks that run the town and suppress the people. Fuck 'em all. That's how I feel." 9 Wow. This from a multi-millionaire that hates corporate America?
